Contractor Sought to convert former Toilet Block to a Community Building.

Wirksworth Town Council have acquired the former Toilet Block on Fanny Shaw’s Park from Derbyshire Dales District Council, with the intention of converting the building to a community facility. 

The building will have an open plan area with sink, freestanding units and a unisex toilet with disabled access. Full specification and brief plan available upon request.

The project team are looking to appoint a contractor by 31 January 2018, work to commence by 01 March 2018, project must be completed by 31 October 2018.

Hiring the Hall

Main Hall

We have  two buildings with rooms to hire on an hourly basis, and the newly renovated Fanny Shaw's Community Building (FSCB) which is operated on a key loan system. 

Town Hall:- The Main Hall is large, suitable for a variety of uses - dance, exercise, large meeting space, wedding reception, family parties, musical events, etc, whilst other rooms - the Club Room, Ante Room, Council Chamber, are suited to smaller classes/groups. All rooms are available for hire during the day & evening during week days & weekends.  

Memorial Hall:- the Hall & Kitchen are available to hire for meetings, parties, fayres, events and classes/groups, during the day & evening during week days and weekends.

FSCB:- Available via a key loan system for use by groups such as:- parents, schools, nurseries, scouts & not-for-profit groups holding events on Fanny Shaw's park.
