Memorial Hall Defibrillator
More life saving equipment for Wirksworth
Following a successful application to the Derbyshire Dales District Council Welcome Back Fund, the Town Council have installed a new defibrillator outside the Memorial Hall. The equipment will be available 24 hours a day, via the 999 service. This means there are now 12 defibrillators within Wirksworth, Bolehill and Steeple Grange. In order to save a person’s life, a defib must be used to deliver a shock at the earliest possible moment after cardiac arrest, if possible within 3−5 minutes (ideally even sooner) hence the benefit of having them throughout the town.

1. Outside Steeple Grange dentist (available 24 hours, code required from 999)
2. Bolehill red telephone box (available 24 hours, code required from 999)
3. Wirksworth Fire Station (available 24 hours, code required from 999)
4. Outside the Co-op (available 24 hours, code required from 999)
