New defibrillator installed on Fanny Shaw’s Playing Fields and Skate Park
Thanks to the generosity of the Infant and Junior Schools, the Town Council has been able to install a defibrillator on the community building in Fanny Shaw’s Playing Fields.
The Infant school donated the defibrillator and the Junior School donated the funds (which were ringfenced for defib costs) to purchase the cabinet and install the machine on site. This is a real asset for all residents but particularly for the young people of the town who frequent the park. The Town Council will maintain the defibrillator going forward. A code is required to access the unit, which you receive by calling 999 -from where users will be guided through use of the machine.
