Memorial Hall Defibrillator

More life saving equipment for Wirksworth

Following a successful application to the Derbyshire Dales District Council Welcome Back Fund, the Town Council have installed a new defibrillator outside the Memorial Hall. The equipment will be available 24 hours a day, via the 999 service. This means there are now 12 defibrillators within Wirksworth, Bolehill and Steeple Grange. In order to save a person’s life, a defib must be used to deliver a shock at the earliest possible moment after cardiac arrest, if possible within 3−5 minutes (ideally even sooner) hence the benefit of having them throughout the town.
